Dr. Sam Bisson grew up in Livingston, MT where he played baseball, football, and basketball throughout his childhood and high school. Dr. Bisson attended Dickinson State University on a baseball scholarship where he received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science with dual minors in Coaching and Leadership Studies. Sam was a Theodore Roosevelt Honors Scholar, two-time NAIA Academic All-American, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2015. Health and fitness became a significant part of Dr. Bisson’s life while completing his undergraduate degree. He was fascinated with human biomechanics and optimizing movement in sport, fitness, and everyday life. Upon graduation, Sam and his wife, Afton, moved back to Montana where he coached football at Bozeman High, Spikes Legion
Baseball, and CrossFit at Coldsmoke CrossFit.
After two years in Bozeman, Dr. Bisson enrolled at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Sam continued his work with athletes through Northwestern’s Human Performance Center, where he was given the opportunity to treat both professional and high-level amateur athletes. During his time at Northwestern Health Sciences University, Dr. Bisson was Vice President of Northwestern’s SACA Sports Council and a member of the school’s Motion Palpation Institute club. He completed rotations at Concordia Academy along with The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center and Pillsbury House where he treated the underserved population of Minneapolis. Through his education Dr. Bisson was introduced to Graston Technique & Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Myofascial Release Technique (MRT), Functional Movement Taping Techniques (FMT-Rocktape), Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR), the Motion Palpation Institute, and Advanced Extremities. Dr. Bisson is a CrossFit Level-2 Trainer and
enjoys coaching individuals in CrossFit, Weightlifting, and Functional Training.
Dr. Bisson currently resides in Manhattan with his wife, Afton, two sons, Griffin and Paxton, and their dog, Bolt. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys skiing, mountain climbing, and playing sports with his boys. Dr. Bisson is excited and honored to serve the Gallatin Valley through Chiropractic care.
