In the rehabilitation and sports performance world, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization has won a great deal of praise as a method that delivers results. In exciting news, for the Bozeman, MT community and beyond, acclaimed local Sports Chiropractor, Dr. Jon Wilhelm, of Pro Chiropractic has recently pursued training in this area. Dr. Wilhelm traveled to Calgary, Canada where attended the Rehabilitation Prague School and completed his DNS A training. This is expected to provide a great deal of value to his patients and athletes.
“I have attended many continuing education courses over my 15 years of being a sports chiropractor,” commented Dr. Wilhelm. “I am kind of a learning junkie! But rarely have I been this excited about learning something NEW! DNS is a total game-changer both in approach and application. This is the missing stabilization piece that can quite literally be the difference in helping athletes achieve! We are proud to offer DNS at Pro Chiropractic.”
According to Rehabilitation Prague School, the nervous system establishes programs that control human posture, movement and gait. This ‘motor control’ is largely established during the first critical years of life. DNS approach looks at the movement software that is developed within each of us as we learn to move as babies and applies these approaches in rehabilitation and performance. Therefore, the school emphasizes neurodevelopmental aspects of motor control in order to assess and restore dysfunction of the locomotor system and associated syndromes.
