What is Graston Technique?

Graston Technique is a form of manual therapy known as instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).  It uses stainless steel instruments to perform a specialized form of soft tissue therapy.

What is Graston good for?

Graston Technique increases range of motion, helps quicken the healing process, reduces adhesion in tissues, increases resilience of muscle fibers, and reduces pain.

Is Graston Technique painful?

Graston IASTM does not need to be painful to be effective.  At Pro Chiro your chiropractor has had advanced training in Graston Technique and will work with you to determine the level of treatment necessary for your situation.  Your pain tolerance will be respected.

Who can perform Graston Technique?

The Graston Technique is often practiced by chiropractors, osteopathic physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and some licensed massage therapists and athletic trainers.  The chiropractic team at Pro Chiro has advanced training in Graston Technique and was the first to offer this treatment in Montana.
