DRX9000 Spinal Decompression

Non-Surgical Herniated Disc Therapy in Bozeman MT

DRX9000 Treatment - Pro Chiropractic Bozeman, MT
DRX9000™ Treatments from ProChiro Bozeman, MT

The DRX9000 True Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression System is designed to provide pain relief for compressive and degenerative spinal injuries. It relieves back and neck pain through the gentle application of spinal decompressive force.

The DRX9000™ Spinal Decompression System has been shown to provide relief associated with herniated discs, bulging or protruding discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome, scoliosis and sciatica. This non-surgical and non-invasive spinal decompression therapy can relieve chronic back and neck pain and allow people to resume the activities that they love.

Spinal decompression is a process that facilitates spinal elongation. Spinal elongation is maximized by relaxing the paraspinal muscles and applying spinal decompressive force to spread apart the vertebrae (as shown in Figure 1). This relieves pressure on the nerves and vertebrae in the back and neck. By lowering the spinal pressure it allows for the free movement of fluid, carrying nutrients and oxygen inside the disc which helps the disc to heal (as shown in Figure 2). The reduction in pressure can also help draw in herniated disc fluids, reducing the size of the herniation.

The DRX9000 Spinal Decompression System elongates the spine and by doing so without activating the paraspinal muscles it can retain those benefits, rather than having the body itself work against them. Over time, the muscles and ligaments surrounding the disc can be retrained to provide long lasting relief.

How does the DRX9000 Spinal Decompression Therapy Work?

The DRX9000 Spinal Decompression System utilizes computers to calculate the spinal decompression treatment curve for each patient.  Each individual treatment plan is calibrated to achieve spinal elongation while relaxing the paraspinal muscles.

Spinal Decompression and the DRX9000 ™ - ProChiro Bozeman, MT

The DRX9000 utilizes high-speed treatment computers to calculate the logarithmic spinal decompression treatment curve for each patient. After the computer has analyzed the patient and calculated the patient’s spinal decompression treatment curve, the “servo-motion” system applies the customized treatment. The “servo-motion system” combines a servo-motor and a servo-amplifier as it constantly calculates corrections to ensure the therapy is true to the logarithmic treatment curve. This creates a customized and responsive treatment for each patient.

The continuous collection of data and the ability to calculate and implement adjustments in real-time create a Nested Closed-Loop Feedback System. This system allows the DRX9000 to deliver spinal elongation treatments that are calibrated to each patient’s physical needs.

What can I expect during DRX9000 treatment?

Each DRX9000 treatment is approximately 30-minutes. The patient is secured into position by an upper and lower body harness on a comfortable padded bed. During the spinal elongation treatment patients can relax by listening to music or watching a video. The treatment is so gentle that many patients fall asleep. Each 30-minute session is divided into 18-phases where spinal decompressive forces are cycled to mimic the natural process responsible for nourishing the intervertebral disc.

What can I expect during the course of DRX9000 Decompression Therapy?

Some patients may experience mild side effects with this type of therapy. The most common side effect is muscle soreness, similar to what would be expected after starting a new exercise regimen. During a typical session, most patients experience a gentle stretch in the lumbar spine and fall asleep. Certain patients may want to consider additional therapies that complement the benefits of spinal decompression such as electrical stimulation and cold therapy. Exercise and/or the use of a lumbar support belt are often recommended to support the benefits of spinal decompression therapy and improve patient outcomes.

Easy to book online when I feel my back or neck is out of whack and Dr. Bradford is amazing, knowledgeable, and has always helped get everything back in place. He is fantastic as is their great team. Good communication and I love their hydrobed pre-adjustment. They follow up and make sure you are doing well and don’t push you to come back over and over and over like some other offices. Very thankful for the great experiences I have always had at Pro Chiro.
